Visited Leeds Grand Theatre on Friday evening to watch Northern Ballet's interpretation of The Great Gatsby and i loved it! We are working hard to reschedule the dates for spring 2021. I absolutely loved the 1920s party scene with the ladies doing the charleston and the flapper inspired consumes, the music was also fantastic, especially the jazz bits where i thought the live orchestra were amazing. Despite reading mixed reviews, I personally couldn't fault it at all. Booking Information. The dancers themselves i thought were flawless, timing seemed perfect and well choreographed. A beautiful theatre - thank goodness it was saved by the local authority over 50 years ago.

The seating is fine, the small bars and foyer a delightful return to the past. The sweets are pricy as are the ice creams, but all part of supporting the costs of the theatre - I think of it as a donation. The"conducted tour" is a "must do". Went to see Cabaret show and it was amazing and all the cast were great it wasn't far from the hotel, Love this theatre... such a fabulous design and great upstairs bar area.
