I can't help but think Mitch and Nick might be better off doing a pay-what-you-want model (maybe with a minimum of a buck a month) for long-term returns. It's more direct support than subscribing to something like Howl, tho I am subscribed there too and also think it well worth it. I mostly did it because Doughboys might be my favorite podcast, but the extra episodes are a good incentive. I use a podcast app (Pocketcast, but there are tons of others), and when you subscribe to the Patreon you get an RSS feed that can be used to access the Double. It sounds small, but Chapo nets nearly 32,000 dollars a month. Podcast hosts use community features powered by Patreon to create a home for fantasy football fans.
I think some communication and such on the Patreon would have been nice, but in terms of actual podcast content I think it's definitely worth five bucks a month - at least for me it is. There are definitely some issues that Doughboys could have with this, such as their partnership with Feral and potentially running out of restaurants, but I'm sure getting two guys and their producer some money in the bank might make them overlook some of this or figure out a way to do it.

I personally used the patreon app to listen on my phone which is definitely not the easiest thing you can do (the other comment about using the RSS to use Apple Podcasts would probably be better) but I also downloaded a lot of the eps from the patreon directly to my computer. thats not bad at ALL for how many hours of content you get for the cost.
